U25: born from 1999 until 2005
Youth: born from 2006 until 2008
Child: born from 2009 until 2018
Mini: born from 2019 and later are free

Free arrival and departure for skiers

If you have completed your purchase in the online ticket shop, you can use your ski pass number or the order number to download a free-ride ticket “Event Ticket”, which is then valid as a ticket on public transport on arrival and departure to the Gastein Bergbahnen ski area from the county of Salzburg.

Here you can book your free arrival and departure ticket.

Requirements are:

  • A valid ski pass (ALL-IN Card White, SuperSkiCard, multi-day or day ski pass) or a completed purchase in the ticket shop
  • Bring your event ticket (digital or printed) with you
  • Identity card
  • Order confirmation from the ticket shop
  • Ski clothing


Straight from the train to the gondola!

Bad Gastein station is located directly next to the valley station of the Stubnerkogel cable car.

Combined ticket bookable from € 76,50 incl. train travel from all over Salzburg and Villach with the ÖBB combi ticket and the advantage card.

Journey to Gastein by Car

  • From/passing Munich  approx. 2 hours
  • From/passing Salzburg approx. 1 hour: Tauern Motorway southerly direction until reaching Bischofshofen, Gasteinertal Valley exit.
  • From/passing Innsbruck approx. 2 hours: Motorway passing Wörgl, then the Bundesstraße (main road) 312 passing St.Johann/Tirol until Lofer, Bundesstraße 311 then passing  Zell am See until reaching Lend, Bundesstraße 167 to Gastein or the motorway - Kufstein - Salzburg - Villach, leaving at the Gasteinertal Valley exit, then the Bundesstraße (main road) 167 to the Gasteinertal Valley.
  • From the south pass by Villach, Möllbrücke and Obervellach to Mallnitz and then you can reach the Gastein easily by car rail.
